healthcare facilities are available and accessible to the community 24/7.
Strengthening Patient Referral System
The program places a strong emphasis on
strengthening the patient referral system by adding a fleet of more than 150
ambulances to the existing ambulatory system of the Health Department.
Enhancing Connectivity Between Health Care Provider & The Public
The program has planned to enhance connectivity
between healthcare providers and the public through the implementation of
telehealth solutions
Using Microfinancing to Improve Nutritional Status of Women
Through microfinancing, the program will provide
women with the capital needed to start income-generating activities. This
includes small-scale agriculture, livestock rearing, or home-based businesses.

World Bank Implementation Support Mission for Sindh Integrated Health and Population Project - 1000 Days Program,
The World Bank conducted an Implementation Support Mission (ISM) for the Sindh Integrated Health and Population (SIHPP) Project from 1st April to 8th April 2026 across Karachi, Mirpurkhas, Hyderabad, Badin, Umerkot, Sujawal, and Thatta.The mission focused on reviewing implementation progress, addressing operational challenges, assessing compliance with environmental, social, and fiduciary requirements, and tracking progress on previously agreed actions.The delegation included multidisciplinary experts who conducted field visits, stakeholder meetings, and technical discussions with the Project Management Unit (PMU) and implementing partners such as the Department of Health, PPHI, and SIEHS.The mission concluded with high-level wrap-up meetings, reaffirming the commitment of the World Bank and the Government of Sindh to strengthening health and population outcomes through effective project implementation
